Inspiration behind this poem:
We all have times where we are so frustrated with our lives that we wonder if all the troublesome things we went through really made us a better person. Of course when we really pay attention to where we've come from, it all feels right.

Fulfillment
Sometimes I wish I wasn’t so ambitious
why couldn’t I have been satisfied
with the first job I had?
Did it really help my pocketbook
when I acquired all of these student loans?
Do I get where I need to go
any quicker in my six year car note?
Wouldn’t it have been so much easier
to live off government assistance?
…The answer to these questions is —I need fulfillment.
I’m not built to just settle for what’s handed to me.
I wouldn’t be happy with minimum wages.
The more education I receive
the better the opportunities.
I can’t help but to want more out of life
than a next to nothing piece of paper
paycheck.
Because I come from people that had nothing.
…No money, no education, no goals, no fulfillment.
